Hi! We’re Leanne and Alana, friends and creators of Dune Tansy. A couple of years ago, we decided to try making beanies as a side project and partnership and have grown from there. W'e’re based in Bolinas, CA. We’re creating accessories we want to wear, that we haven’t seen around and that are thoughtfully produced with respect for humans, non humans and the environment. We put a lot of consideration and research into our sourcing and manufacturing to make educated decisions and are learning a lot along the way. Our products are sweatshop free and produced in small batches in the USA.
BEANIES
Our beanies are made of 100% alpaca, sourced from a socially responsible mill (OEKO TEX Standard 100 certified) in Peru that supports rural Andean alpaca shepherds and family run operations. They are knitted in the USA at a small factory on Japanese knitting machines. Our hats work really well on all head shapes and sizes. Depending on your head size, three smaller rolls will give you more of the fisherman’s cap style. Two rolls work well if you like a little extra poof on top. There is quite a lot of stretch in the alpaca fiber we use, so they can be stretched to fit larger head sizes. Show us your styles, tag us on IG.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Hand wash cold, dry flat. Do not bleach. Iron as needed, being careful not to stretch it while ironing.
SIZING
All of our adventure hats fit up to a 22.5” head very comfortably. When you measure your head, make sure to measure exactly where the hat would sit on your head (around the base and up along the upper part of your forehead). We may produce a larger size in the future, stay tuned.
SHIPPING
Our standard shipping is USPS Fist Class. Packages are expected to arrive within 5 days, although we do not guarantee our shipping. You may experience delays due to holidays, COVID or other carrier-related delays.
RETURN POLICY
We offer customer service via email only. You must contact us before shipping an order back! If you would like to return or exchange items in your order, reach out to hello@dunetansy.comwithin 14 days of delivery. Delivery date is determined by tracking information.
Track your return package - if a package doesn’t make it to us, we will not be able to honor a refund.
If an order is shipped back to us outside of the 14 day window, without prior contact, or has been washed or damaged, the order is subject to return rejection and may be mailed back to you.
